Matrix Data Model — Create a Report
With the release of Matrix Package Version R.4.0.0 comes a new data model enabling enhanced reporting capabilities.
The new data model updates the entire Matrix objects' relationships, and migrates information from text field format to Salesforce objects — records with lookup and master-detail relationships. This article covers how to set it up and how to use it.
How to set it up
- Go to Home and select Setup.
- In the left-hand menu bar, search for Report Types and select it.
- Select New Custom Report Type and specify what type of records (rows) to focus on in the report. The ARPEDIO stakeholder object needs to be the primary object, and deployment needs to be in Deployed mode. All other fields can be defined freely.
- Define the report records by selecting Click to relate another object, then use Edit Layout in the lower section of the screen to define report properties.
- In the report wizard, on the right-hand View menu, click Add fields related via lookup and select the desired field. Stakeholder attributes can then be set up.
- Repeat these steps for every attribute you want to include for the stakeholder matrix (Opportunity and/or Account level).
- Double-click an attribute (for example, Label) to rename it — for example, to "Stakeholder type." If you want to create a Salesforce report, you can look up the renamed fields.
- When all chosen attributes are renamed, click Save.
How to use it
- Go to the folder where you created the report, or use the search field to find the report by name.
- Open the report to view it.
