How to Create Areas, Topics, and Questions in a Sales Template

Sales Assessment templates are built from three levels of content: Areas, Topics, and Questions. Areas are the high-level focus points, Topics are sub-categories within each Area, and Questions are the individual items that capture detail within each Topic.

Creating an area

  1. Click Add New Area.
  2. Enter a name for the area.
  3. Set the Importance, which determines how much weight this area carries towards the overall assessment score.
  4. Click Save.

Creating a topic

  1. Within your area, click Add New Topic.
  2. Enter a name for the topic.
  3. Optionally, add a guide to provide context for users completing the assessment.
  4. Set the Importance, which determines the topic's weight towards the area score.
  5. Click Save.

Creating a question

  1. Within your topic, click Add New Question.
  2. Enter the question text.
  3. Set the Importance, which determines the question's weight towards the topic score.
  4. If you are building an Opportunity Assessment template, you can optionally set a Required Stage to suggest which opportunity stage the question is most relevant to, based on how it has been answered.
  5. Click Save.

Repeat these steps to build out the remaining areas, topics, and questions in your template.
