How to Create Areas, Topics, and Questions in a Sales Template
Sales Assessment templates are built from three levels of content: Areas, Topics, and Questions. Areas are the high-level focus points, Topics are sub-categories within each Area, and Questions are the individual items that capture detail within each Topic.
Creating an area
- Click Add New Area.
- Enter a name for the area.
- Set the Importance, which determines how much weight this area carries towards the overall assessment score.
- Click Save.
Creating a topic
- Within your area, click Add New Topic.
- Enter a name for the topic.
- Optionally, add a guide to provide context for users completing the assessment.
- Set the Importance, which determines the topic's weight towards the area score.
- Click Save.
Creating a question
- Within your topic, click Add New Question.
- Enter the question text.
- Set the Importance, which determines the question's weight towards the topic score.
- If you are building an Opportunity Assessment template, you can optionally set a Required Stage to suggest which opportunity stage the question is most relevant to, based on how it has been answered.
- Click Save.
Repeat these steps to build out the remaining areas, topics, and questions in your template.
